**GOT DRAFT HORSES?**

Something new for this year . . . we are hosting a Draft Horse Challenge! Bring your drafts horse for BIG competition on both Saturday and Sunday. Each day, showers will be asked to bring up to three of their favorite drafts to the table for a chance to win prizes. Saturday will consist of ONLY halter horses that compete on Saturday, and Sunday will consist of ONLY halter horses that compete on Sunday in the regular show. This way all plastic will compete on Saturday, and Resin, Custom and China will compete on Sunday.

**JUDGES?**

Accompanying some familiar local faces, we have two out-of-town folks joining us! You probably know them both - Kelly Weimer coming to judge Breyer Collectability and answer questions about the Breyer Reference guide, of which she is an author and Sandy Lyles for Performance, a gal who is not only an amazing shower, but a talented artist and judge.

tiara Show Shirts and Mugs: Check out our Cafe Press shop and get your show gear today! http://www.cafepress.com/midwintersball

tiara Class Limits: Halter - 3 horses per class. Performance - 2 entries per class. The OF Test/VLR, Lakeshore, China, and Hartland Divisions are allowed unlimited entries per class. **Note: In the case of excessively large classes, it is up to the judges discretion on whether a split is necessary.

tiara Halter Classes: No setups are allowed in halter classes (towels or cloths may be used under models that need to be laid down). Once a model has been shown in a halter class; it may not be shown again in any other halter class.

tiara Stone Classes:
1) ANY Test or OOAK piece regardless of alterations is still 1 of 1 and goes in the TEST/OOAK classes

2) NO Number Qualifications for the divisions - Example; A SR Arabian of 10 goes into the REGULAR Stone Classes (as long as it is not an EFC like say Apollos) Remember, it takes more than numbers to make something collectable :-)

3) GLOSSY Judges Models or Prize Models that are *just* glossy versions of the Show SR or a Regular Run go in the REGULAR Halter Classes

4) ALL Versions of RR/SR Models, regardless of finish or sex go in this division. For example - 25 gloss & 25 matte = run of 50

5) EFC - Extreme Factory Customs - Alterations done by HAND at the Factory
a) Models with Extensive Modifications such as ~ Resculpted Heads, Hand-Custom Manes, Tails, Forelocks & Feathers (like the ones with cut-out and individual hairs or added feathers. NOT the Windswept manes & tails as they are molded pieces, not hand-done.).
b) Major Body Changes - Body Parts Moved; legs lifted or lowered, necks lowered, lifted or turned (not slight turns of the head that often happen without help).

6) Windswept Manes & Tails - go in the Regular Halter Classes - since they are actually molded pieces that can be interchanged like ISH long and short manes and tails, etc.

7) Interchangeable Parts - go in the Regular Halter Classes - simple change of mold manes and tail to other molds - like a pony tail on the drafter or a short ISH mane on an Arabian.

8) Minor Modifications - go in the Regular Halter Classes - twitched ears, roached manes, absence of Drafter Bobs

tiara Collectability - All showers are urged to place an informational card by their model if they want it judged on collectability. There will be blank index cards available to put collectability info on if you need them. If you fail to include collectability info by your horse it is not the judges responsibility to look up or verify a models collectability.

tiara Tags: Front of tags should have only the model's entry number, breed and gender showing (name is optional). See example at right, XXX being your number, 001 being your horse's number. Only this side should be where the judge can see it. Back of tags may have your name and the horse's name so you can ID them. You can look up your show entrant number on the EMCAT web page at http://starhold.150m.com/numbers.htm or ask Daralyn Wallace for one if you don't already have one.
